Back To School Programme – Educational Materials
Our Back to School programme is geared towards encouraging, inspiring and empowering pupils and students from low-income families to have access to basic education.
We visit primary schools, work with the head teachers to identify children from disadvantaged families and provide them with books, scholarships and writing materials.
Our desire is to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to acquire basic education because of his/her status, sex, family social background or circumstances beyond their control.
Education is a key social and cultural right, and plays an important role in reducing poverty and child labour as well promoting democracy, peace, tolerance, development and economic growth – UNICEF
By helping to educate a child, we believe we are contributing to the development of the community and the nation at large and at the same time ensuring that no potential is wasted and no dream lost.
Annually we provide over five thousand (5,000) books, writing materials and uniforms to more than one thousand (1,000) students whose parents do not have the resources to afford them.
